When I received the package the black square piece was broken. I thought it was part of the case but it wasn't lol *ugh* It was definitely difficult to fit the iPad 7 into the case so be careful. Once inside, he was 100% protected. It is very durable. I like hard foam. The handle can be moved so that everyone can sit upright and watch. I recommend it to anyone who might drop it.
