Review on Life-Size Cardboard Cutout Standup of a Brown Bear - Advanced Graphics by Amanda Castillo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love this elephant! But the photo is not 100% correct.

I love this standing elephant! It's really big (for a baby elephant) - about 5 feet tall. Print quality is excellent, with true-to-life color and detail. I bought it for elephant tea but I love it so much I don't want to take it off so it has become part of our regular decoration. (We also used it as stage decoration for a similar concert.) My only real complaint is that the item is NOT exactly like the picture: instead of tan grass between the torso/legs and under the legs like the website photo my elephant only had an empty white box. The main problem is that bright white "negative spaces" are best visible in-camera under stage lighting. On a white background, she seems to be floating a bit because the bottom of her feet is white and not "ground" like in the photo from the website. Also, the stand is a little thin, cardboard. (I expected that; I've had coasters before, and they're all made that way.) We ended up having to secure the coaster with heavy gauge wire to keep it open. I assume we'll have to reinforce it with tape or cardboard at some point. Aside from the above issues, I am very happy with my elephant (I've always wanted to have an elephant of my own, but that has never been practical).

Pros
  • Home accessories Accents
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
