One day my dog wasn't able to walk confidently on our wood floors. We tried a few other solutions and landed on using these booties and laying down some thin yoga mats in key areas. The only qualm I have with these is that if you don't get them really tight, they can turn around on my dogs paws, such that the sole is facing upwards. Even when that happens, she's still able to walk just fine, though it is awkward for her so we fix it as soon as we notice it. But these are very rugged and easy to put on a big dog (80 lbs) so I would recommend. I don't know how to solve for the problem of making sure the lower velcro wrap is tight enough to keep the shoe from turning. We put these on her in the morning and take them off every night.
