My grandma is *always* cold and needed something comfortable to wear around the house - something less tight than a sweater. Many years ago when she was downsizing due to a move she gave me some shawls that she had made herself and worn a lot and underneath was one with the same pockets - I thought that was a brilliant design idea! When I decided to get her a new shawl this year, I immediately went in search of a shawl with pockets. I was a little nervous about ordering as it is clearly an import and I got lucky with some Asian items. and skip. But it looked like a good size, the color is exactly what my grandma wanted and it's acrylic which means it's easier to clean. I first looked at some of the cashmere products and thought they were really good, but a colleague helpfully pointed out that acrylic is easily washed at home. Definitely the right move. This arrived quickly and is exactly the same as in the picture. It's soft but durable, not itchy at all, and when I tried it on to make sure it fit her I was tempted to go back and order one for myself. All in all, this is a good and inexpensive gift for those who like to keep things simple and understated.
