Review on Duke Cannon Supply Co. Tactical Soap On a Rope Pouch - Bath and Shower Body Scrubber Exfoliator with Convenient Soap Holder by Sherri Evans

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well, but takes some getting used to.

In an attempt to become healthier and improve my life through exercise, healthy eating, etc., I started looking at the soaps I use. I have been using body wash for many years and would like to use bar soap, especially organic soap. I look at dr. Squatch and Duke Cannon Soap. I like soap, but using a rag to wash your body with a bar of soap is SO 1990s. I found this tactical soap on a string at Revain so I decided to give it a try. I had a bar of Irish Spring bar lying around so I decided to test the bar on the road before investing in a more expensive bar. I know some people have complained about the lack of good foam. I have to disagree. I was able to get a good and decent lather with it. I like how the surface is textured so I can deal with ingrained dirt. You can't get that kind of dirt with loofah. I have an Ax loofah/scrubber combo and the soap on a cord cleans MUCH better, even with the textured finish that the Ax loofah offers. Overall I feel much fresher and cleaner than with shower gel/loofah. The only downside I see with this is that if you're used to the suds you get from a washcloth, you'll be disappointed. You will NOT get the same amount of foam. This is roughly the same lather you get when using a bar of soap/washcloth. As for the "Sticking" soap in "Soap on a Rope", it probably will, but I don't think it matters much. Just take out the soap and wait for the soap to dry on the rope before putting it back in, that's a big deal for you. In general I am satisfied with it, now I will buy better soap.
