Cheaper than store bought dyes, MUCH cheaper than the salon. I mixed it with coffee and hot water to a dough consistency. I didn't heal him; Once cool enough I applied the whole mixture to my hair, covered with a shower cap and waited 3 hours. Before: processed hair, mostly blonde, no gray hair. Dry after winter and hot styling. After: Brilliant colour, even coverage with gorgeous red highlights. Super soft and easy to style. The smell is okay. It's a mess to flush. It stains the skin, so coat your ears, forehead, and back of your head with petroleum jelly (I use A&D ointment). It took 2 rinses of conditioner to wash it all off. The smell disappeared within a day. Overall a great product, highly recommended. I will buy again.
