Review on Siegelite Stratos Camera Flash Bracket by Darren Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best High Flash mount I've ever used

I have 2 of these. I use mine with a variety of quick release adapter plates to quickly attach my cameras to the base and device to monopods or tripods when not just holding it. I use it with several Nikon DSR cameras with the appropriate hot shoe TTL extension cables. SC-29 is an example. I also use one of these with the Mamiya RZ67 and Metz 60 CT-4 to have the flash directly above the lens. The 10 inch version even offers enough space to stack an RZ Winder. With a lot of hardware connected it can get pretty heavy (no fault of the Stratos mount) but they've always been very solid setups. Since I rarely use the flash's pan function, I usually place the grip on the left side of the camera, which allows me to rest the base of the grip on my hand when shooting handheld. I've tried several similar mounts and this is by far the best I've used.

Pros
  • Camera and Photo
Cons
  • Low maintainability
