Sturdy and better than we expected for the price. Very heavy weight. It was packaged well, however the bottom shelf's metal frame had a small dent and small chipped paint. I think it happened on the way. We were able to remove the dent with pliers and paint over a very small area with a permanent marker. Imperceptibly so close to the ground.
