Perfect introduction to the UIEM!

I tried the EM1 because to be honest I've always found Simgoth's stuff cool - I was drawn to the style but didn't know what to expect. They arrived a few days ago. I snapped a few pics with my Susvara Prion4 cable - I have double helix cables and play with a whole range of devices from sentient IEMs like this to non-intelligent planar and electrostatic devices. I think their colors go well with my titanium connectors. PACKAGED: They come in a sturdy hard box with foam cutouts for everything: headphones, cables, owner cards and carrying case, filled with two types of tips, one promising a brighter presentation than the other. Headphones on the outside: They have a nice transparent smoke color which I chose, with a metal plate on the outside and an overall teardrop shape. They use extruded connectors that work with regular cables but are shatterproof when used with standard cables. Fit and Feel: One of the most comfortable UIEMs I have ever worn. The preferred tips were warmer than average. The cables have an elastic liner that stays behind the ear. The unique shape of these IEMs brings them closer to a custom fit. Sound: Highs are crisp and light, but a bit forward and harsh due to the false peaks. Counseling warmer was the right plan. They have a top-neutral overall quality but are paired with substantial, impressive bass. Mids are nice and natural, and the amount of bass is spot on - it's shocking that a single speaker produces nicer, more immersive bass than my 12-driver custom from other brands. The soundstage could be a little bigger, but they have an intimate front-row quality - I don't expect a single DD to sound like a giant stadium. I've ridden them with my Hiby R3 so far and they make an amazing pair for a combined price of $250. Conclusion: I will definitely keep it for myself! Now I have to try the rest of the Simgot range.
