Review on ๐Ÿ’พ 128GB Lexar Professional 1000x SDXC UHS-II Card by Curtis Kincade

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great for 400Mbps recording in my Panasonic GH5

At NAB 2019, Lexar offered their new 128GB V60 SD card at an unbeatable price: $40. (They said it was a sale.) The card was sold at that price by multiple sellers, so I bought mine from Revain - and right now it's literally half the price of any other V60 SD card. Like I said, a killer price. To meet the very high performance of the V60 specification, the SD card requires the second row of pins required for compliance with the UHS-II standard. None of the pictures I could find of this Lexar 128GB V60 card showed the pins on the back, so I crossed my fingers and ordered it. As you can see from my photo, this Lexar card has a second row of pins. In my experiments with a Panasonic GH5 camera, which requires a V60 SD card to record at a camera bitrate of 400Mbps, this Lexar SD card is up to the task. I captured several clips at 400Mbps, uploaded them to Adobe Premiere and edited them with no problems. There were no dropped frames or any bugs. I've only had this Lexar 128GB V60 SD card for a few days, but I wanted people to know it's the real deal. I'll come back and update this review if I have other experiences to mention, but so far so good. I recommend this Lexar 128GB V60 UHS-II SD card. Edit: Prime Day 2019 had a killer deal. on a Lexar 256 V60 UHS-II SD card is too good to pass up. So I bought one and now it's my main card in my Panasonic GH5 camera. Like the previous 128GB card, I immediately tested the 256GB card at the 400Mbps GH5 high quality video recording speed. As with the 128GB card, the 256GB card had no problems recording at 400Mbps. The only complaint I have is that the 256GB card's packaging was so difficult to open that I scratched the label on the SD card with a knife. used to open the package. I guess that's my clumsy mistake, but it would be nice to have a package that's easier to open. You can see the scratch in the photo taken in front of the slot in the Panasonic GH5 camera that houses this SD card. I also recommend this Lexar 256GB V60 UHS-II SD card.
