My wife held them in place when I entered the house. It took me a while to find the flash. There was almost no seam. It's small but surprisingly powerful. The material is rough but not scratchy or uncomfortable, it reminds me of soft burlap and definitely gives a rustic fall vibe. You can put your face on it comfortably so that it is soft enough. It's very durable and I don't think it's going away any time soon. I am very happy with this purchase. The only problem my wife had was putting pillows in the cover as the zipper opening was a few inches smaller than the side of the cover itself (see third picture). It wasn't a deal breaker, however, and after a bit of flexing and squeezing, it fit in nicely, also showing that the zipper was strong enough to handle the pillow. I would recommend them to anyone interested but not sure if it's durable or soft.
