We've tried many pillows to make our Subaru Outback seats more comfortable (they're rock hard). Most of the cushions were significantly smaller than a car seat, so after about an hour of driving, they became uncomfortable on the back of your thighs. They are large enough to cover the entire seat. They're not very thick but offer enough cushioning to help on long journeys.
