If you do a lot of gaming or just want a good surface to have fluid mouse movement, this is a great thing to have. Razer does a really good job at making material that is durable and easy to move on. I actually use this for work and for my gaming (I work from home). The nice things is I am able to roll this up and take this with me whenever needed. This pad feels great right out the box. It rolls out easily and does not require any weights on the side to hold it down which is what I like about it. Many pad you have to pretty much "iron" it out. It does have that awkward new mouse pad smell. It took a few days of airing out to get rid of the small. This is a fairly big pad so make sure you have plenty of room on the desk. If not then you could end up with half your keyboard on this mouse pad. The mouse pad feels pretty smooth so you get good movement across the pad and the black material makes it hard to see dirt from long term use. This is a bit water absorbent so be careful not to spill any liquid on this because the pad becomes useless until it drys or it is washed. It is in fact washable (not machine washable) if you happen to spill anything on it. You can just wipe it down but the black does tend to fade. There is a good grip on the bottom to keep the mouse pad from slipping and sliding. Overall this is a good mouse pad to have for any office or home gaming rig. I prefer to have this for both as it makes my work mouse feel even more comfortable while also giving me a better game experience. It is very easy to just roll this up and carry it with me to work. It has a very cool look to it l while giving you a smooth surface for any mouse. The down side is that the material does get a bit faded from long term use. You will see whiting develop where you wrist touches the pad, but overall it will last you quite sometime.
