Review on Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Enterprise (256GB Storage by Ray Welchhance

Sofa Laptop for computers and tablets

First impression - Incredibly thin. Android apps are surprisingly better than the web app options. Red is a laptop color I never knew I needed. The keyboard's travel and click are satisfactory, and the trackpad is on par with Apple. As with every other review, the battery is terrible compared to any 2020 ultrabook (maximum 3-4 hours with a comfortable brightness). However, this is the best home laptop you can get right now. The design is hard to appreciate until it's in your hands, but I've never seen a thinner device with an i5 chip. Heats up without a fan, but nothing uncomfortable. The stylus works better than the 1st generation Apple Pencil I work with. Can't say it's great for art, but you get access to the concepts in the Play Store and Adobe Draw. I really wish Samsung Notes was an option given the Galaxy name, but here we are. I'm a big fan of using my fantasy football mobile app (Sleeper) on the big screen. Most of the Android apps I've installed are responsive, which helps avoid going full screen or having to use the touchscreen in portrait mode. Connecting the Dualshock4 controller was a breeze and didn't require any setup for Among Us either. Some games, like Shadowfall, require some effort to run. The lack of support for CoD Mobile was a bummer, hopefully in an update. Complaints: The screen looks good, but there's no 4k support for most streaming options, and due to OLED, this screen is very dim by default. If you have it at 50% your eyes will be strained in an hour. 70% is comfortable, on average it takes 4 hours. If you want to keep working with Android on a laptop, this is for you.

Pros
  • Boot up and get started in just 6 seconds. Get plenty of storage with a 256GB SSD and work, play and multitask effortlessly with a 10th Gen Intel CoreTM processor.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
