REVIEW 5-7-21 & 5-14-21: Drone won't fly out of the box! AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

It may be half the price of the competition, but it requires a lot of calibration to get a decent gimbal horizon and the best flight experience. Personally I've had good luck with 2 of the 3 I bought. I have good horizon level, good video and photos, good battery life and range. The only real issue that voided the warranty was that I chose to adjust the focus of the camera lens myself rather than go through the return process. Again, some didn't have the problem and some did. Fimi is aware of the out-of-focus problem, but still doesn't want to admit it. They don't make it easy to fix this issue and I've never heard of any sellers fixing this issue. Solving the blur problem requires documents, photos, emailing black box files, and finally returning the drone. Of those I know in the US who have sent a drone back for repair, the wait time to receive a repaired drone has been up to 65 days. The hover stability is outstanding for me, they fly very well and are comfortable to fly. Based on what I've experienced and read, this is a lot for the money compared to what's out there. But you need to take the time to calibrate and understand that you may or may not have a blur problem. I was supposed to give it 4 to 5 stars but I gave them 1 due to Fimi's poor customer service and their poor problem solving process. I can be reached in one of the local X8 SE 2020 Facebook groups. UPDATE 5-7-21: I purchased the gray pad on April 19th, received it quickly, was well packaged and was in great condition. It was two weeks before I had the opportunity to customize it. I charged the controller and a battery so I could do pop up firmware updates and all calibrations. When I downloaded it, the drone updated the firmware. I restarted it after updates as needed only to find the camera wasn't working at all. So back to the box for a refund. But that's not all! As a result of my initial review, I was contacted by a Fimi seller to see what could be done to make me happy and correct both my white and gray models so I wasn't as negative about Fimi's customer service . as I mentioned in the first part of this review. I thought finally someone interested in helping me out. A few days later, his call for help was nothing more than a repeat of the ridiculous procedure that Fimi suggests to me and all of its clients whenever there is a problem. I didn't even run the motors on this drone and as usual they wanted extensive documents and files from the drone and they also wanted me to send them a detailed video of the firmware upgrade process and black box files. This is the norm at Fimi. They make it complicated and time consuming and then end up saying it's the owners fault. There the solution for my white model was just as ridiculous. As usual, I can be contacted via one of the local X8 SE 2020 Facebook groups.5-14-21 REVISION. Today I got a call from a man that I unfortunately didn't understand very well. He gave his name and the way he approached the call appeared to be either a telemarketer or a spammer. When I asked what company he was in, he said FIMI. Further interviewing revealed that he was one of the FIMI salespeople at Revain trying to solve my problems and change the way I looked at FIMI customer service. Now I'm in business and when you call someone, always first introduce who you are and then what company you work for. I don't know which seller he was with as he wouldn't say. And he gave me my work number instead of the number Revain uses for my purchases, so obviously he googled something. Unfortunately, I was rude as hell to him and ended up hanging up because he didn't properly identify himself, his company, or the seller. I'm sure this review was the issue and I'm sure I will continue to receive calls like this. But it all boils down to none of these sellers being able to help me and in the end it's just a truncated response from FIMI after the seller has contacted them like it has in the past. My first SE 2020 needs a camera module that nobody can provide. I myself fixed the horizon problem and the very poor focus. The new gray I got yesterday passed all tests, the focus is pretty damn good, and the 6-way calibration made the horizon level acceptable.
