This backpack is sold as a kids backpack but I am an adult and it runs quite large. I bought this as a knit bag and I think it will be very good. The top closes with a drawstring, there is no zipper to hook the yarn on. The top flap closes with a clip, as do the outer pockets. No Velcro. There is an inside pocket. I can also use it to store small bags for projects. It's better than many large knit baskets. The straps fit me, although I wouldn't try them on with a heavy coat. Both bright and fun.
