I've been using Nike ankle brace for years and now that it's worn out I bought this to replace the same. I don't think it makes sense for two reasons. The handle is not tight. It has a velcro that needs to be pulled, tightened and fastened. There isn't the same tightness as Nike. And if you tighten it first, it will start to weaken after a few hours2. The upper, which goes over the ankle, has two Velcro straps - one that goes under the black patch and a second that goes over the black patch and is used to tighten the grip. The one underneath touches the skin and hurts because it's Velcro and not a smooth patch. Folding it over the fabric part so as not to damage the skin will not tighten the grip.
