I like using my laptop in bed and this desk has greatly improved my comfort. Poor posture in bed was causing neck and back tension and I decided to get this table to help with that. Now I can hardly bear to use the laptop any other way. I love the adjustable leg length which allows me to place this piece on a table or countertop and use it as a bar table. I love that it folds up and I even took it with me on my bike when I needed it elsewhere. As long as you take good care of the tabs that allow you to change the angle of the table, it will last you at least a few years. I wouldn't say the built-in area of the mouse pad is very useful for most people, but it's good and I wish it were about 4-5 inches wider so I can sit cross-legged underneath it, but it's just so picky . Everything else about this little table exceeded my expectations.
