Just bought. Looks like heavy ceramic coasters or ceramic lids. Said to be used for dipping bread, but also make great little saucers for cats. Probably get more. I put half a can of wet food in each for a couple of feral kittens. They don't really know how to share, so this is perfect for dividing it up into portions and keeping the big kitties from taking over the whole thing. The lip is high enough to prevent the salt lick from flowing out. You have a very small stature, so there is no problem with a mustache. I throw wet food on the sidewalk, it gets dirty on the floor and the pieces of meat go uneaten because cats are annoying and only lick up the juice. Previously used plastic plates/bowls but same problem except they seemed to eat even LESS food and left a ton more leftovers. For some reason, these little saucers make you want to do the dishes. I was surprised that most of the meaty parts were gone. The thing is mostly flat, so very low, it can be stacked, it doesn't move on windy days, so it doesn't fly around like most light, round bowls or plates. that frisbee on the street.
