My husband is a DIY enthusiast and wanted to upgrade his scanner from his traditional scanner. We buy a few cars a year and fix most ourselves so a good scanner that works on all major makes and models and will clear and reset some of the more problematic codes was a huge plus. This scanner does all this and more, has a large, easy-to-read screen, and is built to last. I hope it's as durable as it looks and feels. It has a very nice carry case that has room for all the connectors and a few extra bits. The included 16GB micro SD card is good, and the USB cable also allows you to upgrade for free via PC. This scanner was in my price range and seems like a good value for a home mechanic or someone who buys and sells cars who needs this tool to make informed decisions before buying used cars from private individuals.
