We just moved in and our new home is either too hot or too cold, no intermediate values; and it's getting very cold in our bedroom. I tried tucking the blanket under the rim of my baby's co-sleeping cocoon (like a dock baby) to keep her covered, but I couldn't pull the blanket over her head. She didn't fall asleep until she was fully unfolded, so I decided to bring a suitable blanket. I have a spreadsheet from Ergo that I used as a guide. Our room is around 18-22 degrees Celsius so she needs to be in a TOG 2.5-3.5 sleeping bag with several layers of clothing underneath. I didn't want to fuss with choosing the right TOG pajamas for the right TOG sleeping bag, so I wore these pajamas over the onesie. It works great because my baby sleeps hot. This wearable blanket keeps them so warm that even their bare forearms and hands don't feel cold; Her hands feel warm, and her hands feel cool, not cold (this is how a baby's hands should feel). I'm a size 80 for my little 18lb 8 month old. I knew it would fit large, but that's fine because I didn't want to keep increasing the size as it got bigger. It's definitely too big for her to carry, play, or walk around, but I still only wanted it to sleep in. She can still roll over in her "cocoon" so her movements aren't completely restricted; just doesn't crawl or walk due to the size and thick material. Your legs go into the leg holes but the ankle elastic wraps around your legs - it actually works great for keeping your legs covered and warm without overheating. I know it shouldn't fit like regular clothing, but the arms seem longer than the legs. So the proportions might be a bit off, but I'm not entirely sure as that's not her size. The other brand I got had longer legs and longer arms, but both seemed proportionate. And when removing the lower part of the hands, the remaining hands were closed at the wrists. The set also included foot liners (it was the only slip rug with foot liners) that snap into place. It was very difficult to completely remove the arms, so I deducted a star. Another brand had latches that made it easier to remove. Also, the entire arm is too long; When I open the forearm, the rest just covers her elbows. I wish it was a bit more to cover more of her forearms. But it still stays warm, so overall it's great. Although I bought another brand with a few extra features, I'm glad I bought this one. The fit is slightly different and although they are the same size, this one is slightly smaller (so fits a little better). It's soft and gentle, like a cloud. The material is very soft and doesn't scratch at all. It feels like heaven to keep my baby wrapped in it. She definitely didn't like it the first night; On the second night, she made no fuss and quickly fell asleep. I think she likes the way he makes her feel; Being in that blanket and then in her "cocoon" gives her a snuggly and cozy feeling, almost like a wrapped but not immobile burrito. If you need a wearable blanket, this is a good choice. Just like wearing a duvet.
