Review on BougeRV Dual Zone Portable Car Refrigerator With APP Control, -4℉-68℉ Temperature Range, 12/24V DC & 110~240VAC Power, E55(59QT) by Steve Beaumont

This is my second portable 12v DC/AC refrigerator and it is my absolute favorite! I especially love being able to control this BougeRV 12v fridge from my phone using Bluetooth! Another awesome feature is being able to set the different bins to separate temperatures, such as having one as a freezer and the other as a refrigerator.I keep this fridge in my vehicle all the time, because I'm never sure when I'll be stopping at the grocery store. The fridge is still accessible using Bluetooth even when the unit is powered off, it just has to be plugged in, so when I am on my way to the grocery store I can remotely power on the fridge from my phone to start it cooling down. I normally set one of the bins to freezing, and after loading up at the store, I can easily raise the temperature from the air-conditioned front seat.Another favorite feature is that it reports the voltage, both on the display and in the app. This helps me confirm that the unit is plugged in, and I use it as an indicator to determine if the compressor is running, because the voltage drops by 1 volt when it is. I keep the battery saver on low because I have a dual battery setup with automatic disconnect and a high output alternator.so I can drain a battery keeping my food fresh and still have cranking power to start the engine.This unit has a compartment for a battery but I am unable to locate one either on the BoughRV or Walmart websites. The DC power cable is 16 AWG. The AC power supply has an output of 6.0 amps at 14.5 volts, for 87 watts.I confirmed with customer support that even though this fridge has a input for solar, it won't run without a solar generator (battery bank) or charge controller. Note, this setup requires the battery to be connected to the PWM before connecting the solar panel to the PWM controller.I can now run this portable refrigerator on solar!As with all refrigerators, make sure that keep the air vents clear to avoid overheating. I've been using this for a couple of months and haven't regretted it at all. I highly recommend!
