Review on Philips LED 458687 60 Watt Equivalent by John Ferguson

We have recently moved to a new location which has a lovely ceiling fan with four colored glass lights. It originally had four fairly weak regular incandescent bulbs that just didn't give us enough light. (It was sort of a giant glowing gold accent light instead of an actual light source.) The bulbs also got pretty hot even when left on for a few minutes, so I'm guessing they also sucked up a lot of power creating that dim light . a little light. I found them online and decided to give it a try. They are much brighter and the light is white. We don't have a dimmer on our light, so they run at full brightness and give off a nice, smooth, non-strobe white light that really suits our space better. The packaging states that it will last an average of 22.5 years when illuminated for 3 hours a day. We light them less, so they'll probably last forever! I like the "shiny" part, it makes the brightness less glaring. They also feel very heavy and durable, unlike their incandescent cousins. They feel well made and of high quality. Each bulb was securely packaged in its own factory blister, tray, box supplied with an air cushion inside an outer larger box. (Really great working packaging to avoid damage, thanks Revain!) If you're looking for a lighter option for your ceiling fan that saves energy and lasts longer, give this a try. We highly recommend them!
