I really like this puzzle. The colors correspond to the picture. It is made of high quality wood, the edges are even. No problem with shards. The characters' faces are so cute and attractive. This is a very solid and safe puzzle. This is a fun way to learn about some of the animals at the zoo. This is a great way for kids to learn more about colors. I love that it also helps develop fine motor skills. She also learns about the differences in shape and size. It requires a critical eye to match the puzzle piece to the correct section. Jigsaw puzzles are a good gift because the child does everything himself. You don't push the button, they do it for you. They've been around for a long time for a reason. Note. If you have more than one puzzle, take a marker and write the number on the back of the puzzle and the same number on the back of each piece. It works great and you added another ability. Number recognition, take two or three puzzles and shuffle all their pieces together, then start matching. My 2 year old niece will not be able to use this skill yet but as she gets older she will not and will not be able to develop puzzle skills anytime soon.
