Was looking for something like a thin but warm vest. The down vests were too puffy and uncomfortable for my 2 year old to wear for long periods. This is thin enough to be comfortable to wear and your hands can move freely in it. It is true that the stitching in one spot on the side of the vest unraveled after several washes, but that was something I was able to easily fix by sewing myself. It might crumble even more after a few washes, but we'll see. Good enough so far I've bought 2 - red and white which are very cute in style.
