Aha! I love my old TJ but 20 years later and even with the H4 halogen upgrade the headlights were weak by today's standards. I put LED headlights on another car and saw the difference LED headlights make, so with that experience I went to the store to upgrade TJ LED headlights. . At the very back of the headlight cavity, out of sight, the Jeep headlight housing's plastic mount disrupted the shape of this headlight. The passenger side wasn't a problem and it wasn't difficult to shave off a bit of the driver's side bracket to get the headlight on properly. After that, these LED headlights were plugged directly into the existing Jeep headlight connectors and everything worked. I didn't wire the DRLs, but my old Jeep didn't have DRLs before, so that's to be expected. This car is 20 years old before DRLs became popular, so no wonder. This may be a future project. Last night while we were out shopping we were hit by a storm and the streets were as black as can be. It was one of those nights I hated driving with old headlights. What a difference these LED headlights have made. I could see! When I stop at a traffic light behind another car, these lights align on the trunk of that car so they don't blind the person in front of me. They basically match my other new car with factory LED headlights. I should have done this a long time ago.
