This is a very practical lamp. However, it is larger than an ordinary book lamp. You can't really attach it to a book, but you can attach it to almost anything. Also, you can just put it on a hard surface, which is cool. The position of the light is easy to change so you can aim it where you want it. With other similar lights I could never get the light to stay in place! I have used these for reading, handicrafts and nail care. It's very bright but also has different brightness settings and has warm or cool lighting. I'm taking off a star because the charge doesn't last long. For example, if I use it for a few hours at night, I have to charge it again in the morning before it even turns on. All in all, I like this lamp very much.
