Review on Nintendo DSi XL - Midnight Blue Gaming Console by Owoeye Reed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just great! in Nintendo Systems

Well after having a lot of trouble getting the DSi I hoped it was worth it. And it definitely was! The problem I always had with older versions of the DS was that it was just a games console, nothing more, just playing games. That's why I spent a lot of time finding games that are like tools (like a browser game that you can buy). But the DSi met my expectations. Its cameras might be low-res, but do we expect them to be 10MP super cameras? No, they're just there for fun and that's hard for some people to understand, DSi's are there for fun. DSiware loaded slowly most of the time, as did the Bowser, but it was very useful for good games. for example Wario Snaps or apps like Flipnote Studio. The problem I found was that you couldn't link your WiiWare account to your DSiware account so you had to buy separate goggles, but that's not a problem for people who don't have a Wii. I was disappointed with the internet as it didn't use a 3G connection or Nintendo's dedicated hotspot, but in that case there would probably have been an additional cost involved. On the other hand, Wi-Fi is easy to use, if you connect to a free hotspot like McDonalds and your home wifi is also easy to connect, you can start surfing in a few minutes. All in all it's a brilliant upgrade from previous DSs and the next will likely be a DS with video recording and software. But it's perfect for me, I'm only 11 years old and just want to play around with photos and sounds for fun. Well done Nintendo!
