i got these for around the house, since my podiatrist said i should always wear shoes (with orthotics). these have removable insoles, so I can put my orthotics in (therefore, i can't address the support of the supplied insoles). i have a bone abnormality on the top of one foot, so the stretchy material was a must. i still put foam adhesive on that upper, but otherwise it's quite comfortable. since i have extra-wide feet and these only come in medium, i had to play around with what size to order. i ended up with 1 1/2 sizes larger than usual. they are actually a bit too large. when i reorder, i'll probably go with 1 size up. that should be enough to accommodate the orthotics and my wide feet. i often leave the house, forgetting to change to my tennies. try them; you'll love them!
