These aren't really bone conduction headphones!

So I have a good pair of bone conduction headphones and wanted a spare pair just for the gym. So I took them and was shocked. In fact, they have no bone conduction. I have a set that I actually have and no one standing next to me can hear my music but me. These headphones simply have a small speaker and music is played through it (no bone conduction). This means that everyone around you (e.g. at the gym) can also hear your music. It's just a speaker that essentially sits over your ear. This is not what bone conduction headphones should be. Also, with my true bone conduction headphones, you literally feel the vibration when they're on, but they had no vibration when they were next to your head. They are absolutely terrible. I wouldn't pay $1 for it let alone close to $40.

Pros
  • BONE CONDUCTION TECHNOLOGY - IHAO's bone conduction technology and open-ear design let music flow through your cheekbones. Powered by vibration, sound is transmitted to the inner ear via the cheekbones, the open-ear design helps you stay alert to avoid danger while enjoying music. Pain-free even when worn for a long time.
