I have seen these imitation candles under various names at Revain but found this particular brand to work well and they are very good. Because I use a timer, I rarely touch a remote that works well. By simply setting the candles to turn on at a specific time and activating them at that time, you can rely on the same pattern every 24 hours. Example: If you want them to turn on at 8pm every night, use the remote control to turn them on at that time and set the length of time you want them to stay on. They will automatically do the same thing every day unless you change it. The candle flickering effect works well and the speed of its movement can be adjusted as can the brightness. These candles also have an internal flicker effect (within the body, not just the flame), although I don't really care. The flicker speed can also be adjusted. In terms of battery life, the more features you use, the less battery life you get. I run them for 2 hours each night at about 70% brightness and have not changed the batteries yet but bought them back at the end of February, now mid-April. The candles have a waxy feel and the price is way better than the mainstream brands found in many stores. Here you get three (different heights, same circumference) for the price of just one Luminara candle.
