Review on 🐱 Nourish Your Adult Cat with Purina Cat Chow Naturals Grain-Free Dry Cat Food - Real Chicken Recipe by Jennifer Hill

My cat had severe allergies.

I have 4 cats. 2 of them are kittens from one of them. The fourth unrelated cat is obese and over time began to urinate blood and in inappropriate places. The vet just said they don't know exactly why cats have urinary problems. However, I know cats shouldn't eat carbs, so I switched her to this grain-free food to cut carbs. All cats liked the taste of this food and the sick cat problem disappeared almost immediately. However, one of the cats had very bad scabs, particularly on the lower back, and her mother had some. The other related cat does not. I read that this condition is called miliary dermatitis and can be caused by an allergy to the pea protein found in this food so I stopped giving it to them. I've read that allergies are pretty common in cats, and I didn't think the disease was caused by fleas because of the severity. The crusts really disappeared when I removed them from this meal. Instead, I started feeding them brown rice food. A cat with a urinary problem is fine for now. I guess brown rice is better than what I gave them before which is Meow Mix. I'm writing this review to warn other people about a pea protein allergy. Also note that the FDA is investigating grain-free dog food that contains ingredients like pea protein because it can cause heart disease in dogs. I understand that dogs are not cats, but it is possible that they are affected in a similar way.
