I've just spent a week with this monitor and my first impressions are VERY GOOD! I found the 22" size to be perfect for replacing an old 19" (diagonal) monitor. The screen is almost the same height as a 19-inch screen, so getting used to the width was a lot easier than I expected. And what a view! If I tweak the brightness and contrast a bit and adjust the gamma level in Windows 7, I can see that this could be the best screen I've ever had. Pivot for a little more height. The only issue I had with this monitor is the lack of reasonably legible nomenclature (icons) above the adjustment buttons. I chose to do black text on a white sticker above the buttons. This works great. Minor inconvenience, but an issue that really - REALLY needs to be addressed by ASUS. Action games, surfing and apps work great at 1280 x 800 (60MHz). While not a native resolution, it offers plenty of screen real estate and text size is legible. Crisp, with no mortally wounded or dead pixels, and consistency across screen width and height make this monitor a great choice for casual work computers and games. Sweet!
