I ordered this and other astro gear for my son in February because he knew he wanted to be an astronaut for Halloween but also wanted some of it before then. He happened to meet a real NASA astronaut (Eric Boa) and donned his meet-and-greet suit. His photo even made it into the newspaper. In any case, the costume, including gloves, boots and backpack, is durable enough to withstand the adventures of a 9-year-old boy. We've washed them a few times and haven't seen any noticeable fading. After Halloween, the black "leather" portions of the boots and gloves showed signs of abrasion. The backpack was great for storing your candy and the straps held up even when the backpack was more than half full. The helmet works. Nothing special. The movable visor was a hit, but everything else is just a sticker. It fits well enough with the suit and has survived countless falls and bumps so far.
