Review on SUPERIOR 300 Thread Long Staple Combed Cotton by Dawn Burg

Ordered Taupe king bed surround. The color is the same as the color on the website but looks a little darker in real life. I was afraid the taupe would be too purple, but it isn't. My husband calls it "brown". Arrived quickly, well packaged, no defects. I was impressed with the quality of the bed surround, especially after reading some of the negative reviews. I washed in cold water on a gentle cycle and tumble dried on a gentle cycle but did not use the extra dry setting. I wouldn't mind if it was a little damp as I was about to iron it. Being cotton you would expect it to need an iron after washing but it had fewer wrinkles than I thought it would and ironed fine on the cotton steam setting but my iron wasn't very hot and I never saw steam ! I fit perfectly in the bed. There's about half an inch of space between the edge of the bed and the mattress at the headboard, but that was true of the mattress he replaced. The bed skirt I received is 15-1/4" tall which is perfect for my setup. Looks like high quality cotton. And the central part that is hidden is a dense white cotton fabric. I have to say, that for $29 I am VERY pleased with the quality of this item I would have preferred beige for my decor but the wood on the bed is very dark and I didn't want it showing through so we went with taupe.
