I was very happy to get this case for my new MacBook Pro 13. However, this sleeve is too large and therein lies the problem. It's at least an inch lower so it slides into the case. If only he had a bag. Despite the nice padding, a pocket flap is missing along the long edge to prevent the computer from being zipped up. In addition, if the zipper was not fully closed, this flap pocket could prevent the computer from falling out when you lift the pocket with the zipper down. The sloppy fit made the lack of a flat pocket even more frustrating. If you have a slightly larger computer, or are in a hard case that makes it look bigger, or you want to slip an iPad or Kindle into your case with it, this might be perfect for you. For anyone considering this, the width is correct. It closes conveniently on the sides. I like that the zipper has two pull tabs and closes easily. And the front pocket is good, and while it doesn't stretch, it's deep. I could fit a charger and cable in there and leave some space for adapters and headphones. The fabric looks durable, the stitching is even. As another reviewer noted, the fabric is a bit rough so if you want something silky this isn't it. The benefit of a less slippery fabric is that it is less likely to slip out of your hands.
