I was trying to set up my PS5 controller and encountered extreme speed. I started small, ordering trim that didn't require any expertise to install. However, as I went down the rabbit hole, I realized I could really create something out of the box! I bought a set of shoulder replacement buttons and I think I watched instructional videos on YouTube about 20 times before deciding to use this one. leap of faith. After 2.5 hours (including several breaks to wash the sweat out of my eyes lol) I successfully replaced the black shoulder buttons with gray ones. About a week later I decided to go "all the way" and do a full replacement. . After my previous confidence building exercises, I felt pretty comfortable with this rather difficult mod. A few tips: 1) Watch and follow YouTube videos closely. It will make your life easier2) Be organized. Have a board for all the screws and a clean, tidy workspace. 3) Use ribbon cable tweezers. You can fry this board very easily (don't ask me how I know). It can be tricky, but definitely doable (btw, the face buttons are from a PS4 controller - you can buy them on Amazon and buy the PS logo sticker on ebay)
