I find the fit a bit confusing but I think I can make it work so I'll probably keep it. I recently lost about 20 pounds (thanks to the stress of the pandemic), so I needed new bikini bottoms. I used to have 12 pants and now it's more like 8-10, so it made sense to go from L to M. However, they seem a little big even with the ties tightened. I love ties because they can be adjusted if you gain or lose weight, but they don't help me much. The seams around the edges make for an odd fit - the first picture shows the seams, I assume they should be tucked in. The second photo shows that the line is shifted to the side, which is what happens when I tighten it. This leads to some play, forcing me to pull them up to tighten them, making them quite cheeky. Not sure I'll be wearing them to really get wet and possibly stretch, but they should be cute for lounging by the pool. For the record, I'm quite a curvy girl, so I don't have a tiny butt either! I might try a small one - if I do I'll update my review, but I'll probably just make it work. However, I would definitely recommend your normal size, or one size smaller than one size larger.
