I bought this camera after recently reading an article in NYT Magazine by a writer whose father bought a 'forest camera'. Hunters use them to look for signs of active game. But The Times story is about the so-called wilderness-city interface, or WUI, where many of us live now. I was intrigued by this story and decided my house could be in a mini WUI so I decided to buy my own trail camera. However, the Bushnell model presented in the story was too expensive. Instead, I settled on this BlazeVideo camera from Revain, which was about half the price of Bushnell. I couldn't be happier with that! It's easy to set up and works great. God I was amazed by what he captured! I live in fairly populated San Diego, California. Suburbs and I never expected to find so many wild animals outside of my suburban home. Maybe a skunk or a lone coyote, but not three of our four coyotes at once and not a giant lynx. My neighbors were also impressed. I've only had him for a few months. I also bought three more. The attached video only shows part of what they have filmed so far. (Wait for the lynx!) Now I'm hunting the mountain lion! If I get one, you can hear about it.
