Review on Premium Convex Mirror Adjustable Security by Kevin Hawkins

This mirror consists mainly of a convex plastic mirror, a black plastic body and a metal bracket. All three components are of decent quality. The mirror is attached to the black body with an inner cylindrical mold made of hard black foam rubber. This rubber cylinder has glue on both ends. One end is glued to the body and the other end is glued to the center of the back of the mirror. A few hours after I installed the mirror assembly, the mirror fell onto the concrete below. The glue has come off the black plastic lampshade. I put it back together thinking maybe it was just clumsily put together. No, a few minutes later he fell again. I disassembled the case until I could insert the screws through the back of the case into the rubber cylinder. This took several days, but then the mirror was back on the concrete. This time the glue on the other end didn't work. I drilled a hole in the center of the mirror and screwed it to the black cylinder and body. Now I have a working mirror, although it is scratched from numerous drops and a screw head is visible in the center of the mirror. . The location of the mirror was not too hot or windy, and the building where it is installed is not subject to vibration. I can only conclude that the glue is to blame. Update: The company responded to this 2 star review by sending me a brand new mirror so I can see where the error occurred. The convex mirror should snap into the channel along the edge of the housing. The adhesive isn't designed to support the weight of the mirror, so it's not surprising that it failed. The problem was that with my first mirror, the mirror didn't snap into place. This is an assembly error, not a material condition. I believe that such build quality issues are rare. I just got lucky. I am happy to upgrade my rating from 2 to 5 stars and would recommend this company and their mirror to anyone.
