We have recently become a single income household. So we got rid of all the unnecessary subscriptions that included things like cable TV, Netflix, etc. But I still wanted to see things like the Olympics and PBS. I bought it without much expectation. In addition to the positive reviews, I have read many negative reviews. But I live in the Washington DC metro area and for the price I thought it was worth the risk. Oh my god this has got to be one of my best purchases in a long time! Installation was very easy, but it took me a while to understand my TV's menu system so it could scan for TV channels. When I found out I had about 40 channels! Picture quality was impeccable and the HD feeds were crisp and clear. The colors impressed me. This item saved me $1 on day one.
