Review on Bubula Premium Steel Diaper Waste Pail with Air-Tight Locking Lid, Baby Blue - Enhanced for Better SEO by Yadira Santiago

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great design and phenomenal customer service; Product consistency needs improvement

I don't know how many stars to give here so I've just averaged my various reviews. Summary: I love the design and customer service, but I'm not thrilled with the $90 price tag, especially given the manufacturing defects at that price point (on two different devices). Maybe I'm too picky. Detailed Review: The design of the diaper pail is definitely our favorite. What's not to like? Higher tank, no smell with hatch, metal tank design, use any kitchen garbage bag. Positive, like all other reviews. The only things I would like to point out are the poor locking mechanism of the lid and the fact that the lid is made of plastic and not metal like the rest of the jar. and lid (as many other buyers have had issues in the past) but were disappointed to find one defect and two quality control/manufacturing issues. The only downside was that the jar lid's latch (the white latch on the front that secures the lid to the jar) didn't work properly and would only work if we hacked the latch and made it crooked. The first production problem was the fact that the color of the plastic lid assembly (assuming a colored dye mixed with melted plastic) was darker than the color of the metal can (dyed after the can was made). The second quality control issue was that the rubber ring around the bottom was deformed. Honestly I wouldn't complain about these quality control issues if the diaper pail cost less, but in my opinion a $90 diaper pail should be perfect. They responded immediately (at night they responded within 1 hour). A replacement was sent to us immediately. After we received it there was no latch defect (the latch worked but I would suggest redoing it - more on that later). However, the lid of the new Bubula was still a darker shade of sage than the tin, just like the previous one. It seems that the color issue will be an issue for all colors (except white) until the manufacturer figures out how to match the color used in the plastic lid to the color of the can. If that bothers you, maybe order the white version? Also, the rubber ring on the bottom of the replacement was yellowed, dull and discolored as if it had been sitting for years. For a bucket of $90 diapers, don't expect color differences and imperfect details. If it was a cheaper diaper pail I'm not sure I would complain about these things but it's all subjective. The snap-on lid is not a protection for small children. Any toddler smart enough can pick it up and open the jar - imagine walking into a room with a laughing toddler and dirty diapers scattered around the room. You should switch to those spring clip clasps you might find on kitchen containers — like the containers many people use to store flour and sugar on their countertops. Here's a breakdown of my reviews: functionality, design, and overall quality. : 4 stars (5 stars after they made the lid safe for toddlers) Quality control/consistency in manufacturing: 2 stars Value: 2 stars - seems like the price is in the 60 range compared to its current price of $90 $ should be high - at least until they show it. can get quality control and proper production. Customer Service: 5 stars for effort and responsiveness. Average rating: 3.25 stars.
