Let me first say that I was quite skeptical that they were actually fully waterproof, but they absolutely are waterproof! I bought them for a tubing trip with a group of friends and we drifted down the river and separated from the rest of the group. One of the people I was with jumped off his pipe trying to get to us and dove in our direction, Michael Phelps Style. The strap slipped underwater and sank to the bottom of the river along with his phone and $200 in cash. The river wasn't very deep and most of the time we could see the bottom. However, we couldn't find the line that day or we went back down the river the next day so we thought it was a total loss. Two weeks later, he gets a call from his cell phone provider saying someone found his phone and returned it to contact the owner. The guy was diving in the river to find lost things, as he often does, and he seems to have noticed the cord! Scuba Steve left his number in the phone room for my friend to reach him, which he did and he still had the money! Everything was dry and functional. At the bottom of the river! Needless to say we drive 2 1/2 hours to meet this guy and his friends and get his money! Drink for us! Good times!
