For what it is it's fine. Definitely gives a cooling sensation which should reduce sagging. Maybe I would have worse bags if I didn't use it! I'm 74 years old and I think the bags are definitely from the 70's! Not sure what the heat question is about. But it's definitely not warm, it's a feeling of coolness. It dries for a while, but not for too long.
