Good Bag, Don't Overload the Panniers

Stitched together from nylon with an ABS plastic base, the bag feels durable and is quite voluminous. I've managed to cram plenty of things (clothes, books, bike lock, water bottle, tupperware with food) into the main compartment (without stressing the zippers) so if you're traveling light, space will never be a problem. The bag has multiple compartments for whatever else you need to store and/or keep separate including tools, patch kits, phone, wallet, keys, etc. The quick release system was of great convenience for me. I would commute to school 4 times a week, doing a total of 18 miles every day and being able to quickly put on and take off the bag when I was running late was time-saving. The bag also includes a shoulder strap which I tuck away in the stretch cords on the top along with my U-lock. Careful when pedaling fast to avoid any large bumps in the road or drops, as it is not meant for off-road use and I imagine the base could be damaged if taken to that extreme. My only real issue with the bag is the fold out panniers. They are not as large as they appear in the photo and will not accommodate most laptops, which is what I bought it for (believing my laptop would fit). You can definitely carry a Surface tablet, however, and even some large textbooks. Having a lot of weight in the panniers will take its toll on them, however. The panniers are not as durable as the rest of the nylon bag, and after a semester my panniers have started un-stitching from the bottom and have holes in them. But maybe I was pushing the bag further than it was meant for, and probably won't use it for carry textbooks anymore. Overall, the bag is great though especially for commuters and light traveling.
