Unable to find any preshave oils because they were too thick, runny and not good, I turned to the tried and tested Proraso line of products. This pre shave cream provides a fantastic, long lasting, comfortable and smooth barrier under your shaving cream or soap which helped my DE safety razor a lot to glide across my face. It also has an incredibly cooling menthol feel that is absolutely wonderful! Wet your face and rub it. A little means a lot and a glass lasts a long time. More than enough money for a shave. It has eliminated all of the shaving irritation I had before and I can finally stop buying other preshave products that just don't work. I use the Proraso Aftershave "Lotion" and the combination of the two has eliminated any irritation after shaving. Before you shave, use a good shaving brush with a shaving soap or cream that blends well with your skin and this cream and you'll get a close, irritation-free shave. I also use a block of alum after shaving but before lotion for added protection from irritation. A block of alum is very cheap at Revain. Don't spend $20 on one on shaving sites. They are all the same! Happy shaving!
