Great start IEM

Stumbled upon this while reading reviews of other IEMs. I needed some "budget" headphones to take with me on trips or to use for office work (if I come back soon). So far they have convinced me. As background I have some Moondrop Starfields and SeeAudio Yumes and I will compare them to them. My test device is the BD005 Pro with FiiO BTR3K. In terms of sound, they offer great value for money. I don't expect it to sound as clear as the Yumes (big price difference). I've used other $50 audio gear and it threw them off. The biggest downside is that I feel the bass is tight. I bet if I change the EQ a bit I can make the sound even better. In terms of mids and highs they are comparable to Starfields imo and cost about half the price. There is a mic on the cable that comes with it which is good if you need one, I don't really use it as I can use the BTR3K as a mic. The quality of the wire is good, strong. They have a stand with 0.78mm 2-pin connector. So if you want to swap the wires, you can. I've also tested them on a balanced cable and find it helps a bit (more power). In terms of comfort, they are very similar in shape to my yumes, which are very comfortable. These headphones are lightweight and fit well. Pros: Price, can't go over $50. Probably one of the best sounding headphones under $100. You are looking very beautiful. You get more than what you pay for. I may need to try a different DAC/amp combination to get a different result. I would recommend them to anyone who definitely wants to get into the IEM game.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • A few small things
