Review on πŸ’ Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Powder Foundation Makeup, 220 Natural Beige (0.21 Oz) - New York by Jason Sluck

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Difficult to apply, sticky, shows lines and pores. Not as good as PureStay or SuperStay Better Skin!

There's nothing to love about the Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Powder Foundation. Previously, I used Maybelline Pure Stay Powder Foundation (in a grey-silver container) consistently many years ago. It was the perfect powder foundation - glides on smoothly, minimizes pores and wrinkles and offers perfect buildable coverage. Then it was discontinued and I had to try a few different products until the Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Powder Foundation came out. While this formula didn't end up being a perfect replacement for PureStay, it came pretty damn close. Goes on relatively smoothly, minimizes pores and wrinkles, but doesn't have as good coverage, but it was a respectable substitute. Now this foundation seems to be out of production and we are left with this SuperStay Full Coverage. Everything about this fund is a downgrade compared to others. First of all, the design of the compact is unsuitable. Putting the mirror under the base is very inconvenient - frequent tossing and turning is required if you don't have a separate mirror and aren't very prone to quick fixes. Second, the coating is so tacky but transparent. It seems to accentuate wrinkles and pores and makes your skin look like powder! I do not recommend it as a replacement for PureStay or SuperStay Better Skin. Look elsewhere!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
