Review on 🧹 Swiffer WetJet Starter Kit - Mop, 5 Pads, Solution, Batteries Included by Cindy Tapia

Makes mopping incredibly easy and even better with a simple update

Our mop finally got dusty the other day. For a generic brand, this really took a while! Anyway, this time we've gone for a more well-known brand... and which mop is more well-known than Swiffer? This is my first time using their products so keep that in mind as you read this review. The device itself was easy to assemble. There are no actual instructions in the kit, but you don't need them - just attach the handle to the pole and the pole to the base of the mop. I like that the cleaning agent is included in the kit so I don't need anything else. I can use it immediately. I was a little disappointed that the kit only came with five pads. You would think that a company like Swiffer would give you a little more for the price you have to pay. OK. Despite this, they cleaned my floors well. We have dark hardwood and it removed most of the dust and dirt. Once you've attached the bottle to the mop, you can control the jet with the trigger on the top. I usually tap it a few times every few times. I was happy to see that the mop didn't leave streaks on my floors... I've read that this could be an issue, so... But if we fast-forward two weeks, I already have the included pads ready for the gear. At first I was just going to buy replacement brush heads from Revain, but then I found out that the mop can actually be used with other pads...not disposable pads. So obviously I went with that option. The ones I have are called Turbo Microfiber Pads. They fit and stick well. They are also much thicker compared to standard pads, which makes them more absorbent. I have no complaints about that. As much as I love the Swiffer WetJet, there are a few things I want to address. First, the splashes fly in a random direction. You can't control where the liquid goes, so it's a little annoying. There were several times when it landed on my walls! Second, the mop doesn't do a good job on stubborn stains. It's slightly better if you switch to thicker reusable pads, but the long handle still means you can't use enough force to clean the area. You're probably better off just using a rag or brush and some soap. Overall I give 4 stars. Simply because it is convenient and easy to use. I wonder how long will it last? I will monitor and update this review if anything happens in the future. I'll have to see if I recommend it to friends. It's only been a few weeks since I received it, so I'd like to use it longer before I pass judgment.
