Probably the best of all two-story escape stairs. Won't cut your fingers like cheap wire chain models. It's reusable, most others aren't. Worth the extra cost. Fasten the two hooks together beforehand. In the event of a fire, close the bedroom door, attach the end of the ladder to the bedpost farthest from the window with two hooks connected together, and then attach the next rung of the ladder to the bedpost closest to the window. Open the window. Throw the rest of the ladder out the window. Move the bed to the window until it touches the wall by the window. Jump on the bed, face the stairs, climb out the window feet first and go down the stairs. Have a nice day. Been there, done. Hope you never have to use it. Good night.
